Overview
Taxation
Buyandship established a network of self-operating(US, JP, CA & UK) and dedicated(KR, CN, TW, IT, TH & ID) warehouses for users to ensure fast and efficient delivery services. But every country has different taxation that has to be considered. Find the taxation for Australia below. All prices listed on our website are in AU Dollar.
GST
According to the Australian Taxation Office, a Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be charged on most of the goods and services in Australia, including the overseas imported goods. From 1 July, 2018, GST also applies to the low-value imported goods (AU$1,000 or less). 10% of the value of goods or services will be charged as the GST.
Most of the goods are required to pay the GST, but there are some exceptions. However, many of the GST-free goods are on the list of the prohibited items of our warehouses.
For the low-value imported goods (AU$1,000 or less)
We will charge 10% GST on Total Product Value and Buyandship Delivery Fee. Total GST will be included in the Total Delivery Fee and collected by Buyandship for the Australian Government.

Total Product Value NOT EXCEEDING AU$1000
Product’s price x 10% GST

Buyandship Delivery Fee (10% GST is included)
Delivery Fee is based on the actual weight of each parcel. Parcel forwarding from all warehouses to Australia is charged per order, and at a price of AU$28 for the first 2 lb and AU$12 for each additional lb.

Total GST will be included in the Total Delivery Fee
We will round down GST to the nearest dollar when collected, e.g. if the GST is AU$40.99, it will be rounded down to AU$40.
For the value of imported goods over AU$1,000
We will charge 10% GST on Buyandship Delivery Fee ONLY. You need to pay the GST of products directly to the Customs.

Total Product Value OVER AU$1000
GST of the goods will be collected by the Australian Border Force.

Buyandship Delivery Fee (10% GST is included)
Delivery Fee is based on the actual weight of each parcel. Parcel forwarding from all warehouses to Australia is charged per order, and at a price of AU$28 for the first 2 lb and AU$12 for each additional lb.
Any other special notes for the imported goods valued over AU$1000?
For the goods over AU$1,000, the clearance agency will charge AU$100 for the high value brokerage fee of each consignment.
There may be other custom duty or relevant taxes which will be collected by the Australian Border Force, subject to the local laws and regulations, when the parcel reaches Australia.
Additional Information
Q: How is the value of the goods counted when it is a consignment?
A: The value of “the goods” is counted based on the total value of a consignment, instead of a single item.
For example, if you ship two goods with a total value of over AU$1,000 and each of them costs less than AU$1,000, the consignment will be regarded as the goods over AU$1,000.
Q: What If I purchased the Enhanced Insurance Plan for my shipment?
A: The insurance fee and its GST will be included in the total delivery fee.
